Switching out a closet door for these vintage french doors!
French doors are so neat! If only I could have them in every doorway in my home, I would be in heaven. I thought this was a neat idea for a walk-in closet. Instead of a closet door, it was switched out for these vintage french door.
I like that the vintage french doors were left unpainted. It helps them blend in with the wood floors that run throughout the room. And the class fronts allows you to see in to your closet space, preventing anyone from hiding in there and sneaking up on you, but it also takes away from your privacy if you decide to change in there.
I can’t see the entire room, but just from this picture I get the feeling that this room is done in a french country style, which makes sense why they chose these french doors for the closet and have unfinished wood everywhere.
It looks like the doors don’t go all the way to the floor. Fortunately these aren’t meant to hold back any breeze. Note that if you are shopping at secondhand stores you may not get perfect fits for your doorway.
