Stencil art on wood…love it!!
Finding old wood planks behind the shed or next to garage is no longer a bad find. Instead, it’s an artist’s dream come true!
If you can find enough wood planks to glue together to make a large canvas like this, you are in luck! This is an easy project that will impress guests and lead them to believe that you spent months creating this masterpiece.
Once you have secured your planks together you will want to cover it in a coat of white paint. This will end up being the color of your dandelions when you start stenciling.
When the white paint has dried, you are ready to stencil your art onto the wood! Place the stencils on the boards in a similar fashion as the photo. Of course, if you want to change it up a little you can. It’s your work of art, so feel free to make it look however you want.
When the stencil is in place, secure it down so it won’t move when you start painting the yellow paint over it.
After you finish painting the yellow, lift the stencil and you will see your dandelion pattern come to life!
