Red fretwork – I don’t know what my new attraction is to red, but I love it and when I found this picture I instantly fell in love with it. The red fretwork on the chair is exactly what this space needed to spruce it up.
I imagine these chairs were once brown and did not host a cushion. You can sort of tell from the structure that some updating was done. Whatever the case, I love what they have done with them!
It’s amazing how the red paint seems to bring out the intricacy of the fretwork. It stands out, but in a good way. The chairs look new, fresh and inviting and the little breakfast nook that they live in is perfect. The space has a comfy, serene feel even though the red paint can be a bold color.
Adding the red-orange flowers was a nice touch. It pulls all the colors together and keeps the chairs from seeming like two sore thumbs in the middle of a brightly lit, white room.
If you have an outdoor or screened in patio, this setup would do well there. Imagine pouring your morning coffee and sitting in one of these beautiful chairs while you enjoy the morning air.
