Paint a headboard on your wall – Are you like me, paging through hundreds of design magazines and scrolling through Pinterest for your next DIY home project? Well let me stop you now and give you a project you can do this weekend: paint a headboard on your wall.
Yes, you read that correctly. No need to pull out the sewing machine or get out the table saw to cut big pieces of wood for a new headboard. Instead, dig out your blue painter’s tape and paint brushes because you are going to design the headboard right on the wall.
Any geometric design will suffice, so decide what pattern you would like to create and make a template from that. Some individuals like to print the pattern and then cut it out and use it like a stencil. Others prefer to project the image onto the wall and tape it off from there. There is no right or wrong way to do this. It really just depends on what you prefer or are able to do.
After you tape is in place, you can start painting. You will want to remove the tape while the paint is still wet. If you wait until the paint dries, you run the risk of pulling off part of the design.
