I had always hoped for a kitchen that had a bay window so I could do some windowsill herb gardening, and then I saw this. WOWZERS! Now that’s what I call a window!
This open-air kitchen has a wall window that can be completely opened to let in any warm, summer breeze. The kitchen has ample counter top space and boasts a farm style sink.
I love the fact that these windows open sideways. This allows you to completely open them and enjoy a face full of fresh air while you cook or clean the dishes.
If this was at ground level, you could use this window as a pass-through for food when entertaining guests. That’s how I would use it and am trying to think of how I can install this into my own home this summer.
Being able to enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of your home is always a treat and these windows fit the bill. However, the one drawback is no screen. Keeping flying bugs from entering is impossible and I’m sure the occasional bird finds its way in too.
Nothing is perfect. There will be pros and cons to every design. You just have to decide what you can live with.
