Neutral bedding tones and teal walls. Instead of slapping neutral tones onto your walls, reverse it and use the neutral tones on you bedding and add color to your walls.
This is a great example of this color scheme. Teal has been painted onto the walls and the bedding is in neutral beige and white. The teal that was selected is not bright, which you need to watch because if you select a color that is too bright, then you will lose the sense of comfort in the room and that is not what you want in a bedroom.
When you go to the paint store, select three or four colors that you like and ask for samples. At home, paint each of the samples onto the wall and wait until it dries. Make sure the look at the colors during the daytime and at night when all of the lights are on. Colors can vary in look depending on the lighting in the room. That is why it is so important to look at it during both times of day, so you know that you will be happy with it all day long.
Walls can always be repainted, so don’t worry if you eventually change your mind.
