Maps of the Bride and Groom’s Hometowns.
Pinterest followers have some of the coolest wedding ideas/gifts! You can’t tell me that a bride and groom wouldn’t fall instantly in love with this framed, heart shape map that highlights their hometowns.
This is easy to do and doesn’t require a lot of effort. You may have to do a bit of fact finding because you need to know what city each person came from, but that’s the hardest part of this assignment.
If one or both of the couples are from outside of the US, then you will have to seek out an international or world map. Otherwise, a US map will take care of most people. I would also suggest using a map that has color instead of black and white. The end result is just prettier ( see photo).
Once you have pinpointed their hometown locations, you can start cutting. Each person makes up a half of the heart, so you can place the maps back to back and cut out the halves. This will make mirror images which means your pieces will match up perfectly when you place them in the frame.
Adding their names and wedding date should be printed out on the paper, so it is clear and legible.
