DIY : Tea cup bird feeder
Who said tea is for the birds? I did! With these tea cup bird feeders, it will be high tea everyday at Noon.
Is this not the most precious thing you ever saw? I’m not promoting taking your grandma’s nice china to make a bird feeder from it, but this is a cute idea.
If you have a local dollar store, start there. Look for teacups that show character and style. If you don’t have a dollar store, then maybe hit some rummage sales. While you are out, look for table legs. You might be lucky at one of those rummage sales to find both items and then you can just go home and start gluing!
Although birds don’t weigh very much you should still secure the tea cups to the table legs as best you can. Start with drilling a hole in the center of the dish and the cup bottom. Afterwards, add an adhesive so that the base of the dish has additional security. You can do the same with the cup to the dish.
Take a screw and drill it into the base of the cup straight into the table leg and you’re done! All that’s left to do is fill it with bird feed.
